Plant Dallas
Church planters and pastors at the Surviving and Thriving in Ministry gathering at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship

Partners

A network of networks.

Plant Dallas isn't planting these churches alone. We walk alongside denomination and network leaders so that, together, every neighborhood in Dallas County is within reach of a gospel-preaching church.

Why a city network

No one reaches Dallas County alone

Dallas County is home to about 2.66 million people across 31 cities, and roughly four in ten of them aren't connected to any congregation. Reaching the county at the same rate as the rest of Texas would take about 220 more churches.

That work belongs to many families of churches: denominations with long histories here, planting networks with fresh callings, and independent churches with a heart for their neighbors. Plant Dallas exists to bring them to the same table, so we can see the whole county together, pray together, and fill the gaps no one is reaching yet.

We don't replace networks or denominations. We strengthen them.

How we serve

Three roles, one mission

Every planter belongs somewhere. Our job is to make sure no one plants alone.

Connect

A network of networks. A shared table for network and denomination leaders across the county, where we share what we're learning, align our efforts, and celebrate what God is doing through each one.

Welcome

A home for the unnetworked. Some planters start without a network, by circumstance, timing, or conviction. We give them community, coaching, and care, and for those who want one, we help them find a network or denomination that fits.

Add

A complement for affiliated planters. Planters already rooted in a network or denomination stay rooted there. We add citywide relationships, gatherings, and research, so they're part of something bigger than any one tribe.

Our posture

The whole church for the whole city.

Kingdom over brand. Collaboration over competition. Every new church celebrated, whoever planted it.

Theological convictions

Why we work together

Collaboration isn't just practical for us. We believe it's what the gospel asks of the church in a city.

We gather around the historic Christian faith confessed in the Nicene Creed, and Plant Dallas holds The Lausanne Covenant as its statement of faith. On secondary matters, we hold our convictions with humility and honor the distinctives of each network and denomination.

01One church in the cityJohn 17:20–23 · Ephesians 4:3–6

Jesus prayed that his people would be one so that the world would believe. Dallas County has many congregations, traditions, and networks, but one church. Our unity is part of our witness, not a strategy we add on.

02One body, many members1 Corinthians 12:12–27

Baptist, Presbyterian, Anglican, Pentecostal, and nondenominational churches each carry gifts the others need. The eye can't say to the hand, "I don't need you." A county this diverse needs every part of the body.

03God gives the growth1 Corinthians 3:5–9

Paul planted, Apollos watered, and God gave the growth. No network owns the harvest, and no one needs the credit. That frees us to share what we know, send people to one another, and rejoice when someone else's church is thriving.

04The harvest is larger than any of usMatthew 9:37–38

About a million of our neighbors are connected to no church at all. The need is bigger than any one network's pipeline, so we pray for workers and welcome every faithful one God sends, whatever family they come from.

05Seek the welfare of the cityJeremiah 29:7

God calls his people to seek the peace of the place he has sent them. Our parish is the 31 cities of Dallas County, and our hope is a gospel-preaching church within reach of every neighborhood, apartment corridor, and language group.

06Every nation, every tongueRevelation 7:9 · Acts 2:5–11

Heaven's worship gathers people from every nation, tribe, and language, and so does Dallas County. Reaching every culture here will take many networks with many callings, working side by side.

What partnership looks like

What we bring

  • County research. Demographic and spiritual landscape data for Dallas County, so we can see where churches are most needed.
  • A leaders' table. Regular gatherings for network and denomination leaders to share plans, pray, and coordinate.
  • Monthly gatherings. A room of 40 to 50 pastors and planters from across the county, every month.
  • Cohorts and care. Discernment cohorts like Good Soil, coaching, and care for planting families.
  • Connections. Introductions between unnetworked planters and networks that fit their calling.

What we ask

  • Pray for Dallas County and for planters beyond your own family of churches.
  • Share where you're planting, so together we can avoid overlap and fill the gaps.
  • Bring your leaders to the table and your planters to our gatherings.
  • Let us celebrate your plants on our Planters page, alongside every other new church in the county.
  • Point planters our way when they need citywide community beyond your network.
